The Stron Smart Data Concentrator Unit STC18-A is specifically developed for Smart Metering applications. It functions as a gateway connecting metering devices with the AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) or AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) systems. This unit facilitates seamless two-way communication between the metering points and the AMR/AMI systems.
The STC18-A is equipped to perform multiple essential tasks including task configuration, data collection, transmission, and storage. Additionally, it manages meter operations, executes GPRS information tasks, and oversees RF network management to ensure efficient communication and data handling.
Moreover, the ST368 model optimizes the use of LORA-RF technology for downlink communication directed towards smart meters. For uplink communication, it relies on GPRS, thus ensuring reliable and efficient data transmission between devices and the central system.
